This Month’s Excel Tips

Adding Today’s Date

If you want to add today’s date into an Excel spreadsheet there is a useful shortcut: -

Press CTRL   ;  (semi-colon)

This will add the current date. This date will not update.

If you want to enter today’s date and you want it to update on future dates so that it always shows the correct date then enter the following formula: -

=TODAY()

That was easy – wasn’t it!
